Dear Sponsors:

The Directors of the TEXAS SOCIAL CLUB would like to thank you for your continuing participation in sponsoring the TEXAS SOCIAL CLUB at the HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW AND RODEO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BBQ COOKOFF. Being one of the largest and oldest teams at the cook-off, we could not have had the success we've experienced without your support. The cook-off this year will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, March 2, 3 & 4 of 2017. There will be approximately 400 entries competing for the World BBQ title with over 300,000 visitors to cheer them on.

Each year, the HLSR World Championship BBQ Cook-off seems to get bigger and better. Because of this, the TEXAS SOCIAL CLUB is continually adding more space and amenities to its Saloon & Party area. This year, we will be adding more of a wider selection of Liquor to our famous open bar along with presenting (2) two whole hogs each of the three nights with each hog weighing over 350 pounds. That's a lot of pork folks! Because of the crowds the last few years, we have rearranged the interior layout which makes for a more proficient flow of traffic within the party area. We also now have two food serving lines which allows everyone to be served quicker. There will also be plenty of soft drinks, beer, wine and margaritas along with our famous open bar. You may arrive anytime, but the party doesn't get going till about 5:00pm and will end at 11:00pm each night (as per the guidelines set by the HLSR BBQ Committee). As always, our complete BBQ dinner will be served from 5:30pm till 8:00pm each night.

We again are located at the North-East corner of the cook-off area which is near one of the entrance gates by the horse arena. As always, we will have a live band performing the entertainment for all three nights along with dancing on our large dance floor.

Like last year, no one will be allowed to park at the Reliant Stadium. There is a new parking lot for the general public and it is located on the south side of the 610 Loop between Fannin Street and Kirby Drive. It is where the old Astroworld was located. It has an all-weather surface, street lights and uniform security. You enter on West Belfort which is one block south of the 610 Loop between Fannin and Kirby. There is a wide walkway that crosses over the 610 Loop into the BBQ Cook-off area. There will also be shuttle trolley cars to bring you back and forth. For each vehicle, there will be a $15 charge for all the Rodeo performances and a $20 charge for the BBQ Cook-off, each day. Any of the general public who attends the BBQ Cook-off, the Livestock Show or any of the Rodeo performances (for all three weeks), will now need to park here. The Reed Road parking lot will also be open for your parking convenience, where you can park and then take a shuttle bus to the BBQ Cook-off. Due to the guidelines set forth by the Houston Fire Department and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, we are only allowed a certain number of people in our party area at any given time. Because of this, we only allow a certain number of Sponsors each year. We do this, so that no Sponsor or their guests will have to wait outside in a line to get in. We want each Sponsor to be a part of the team along with making their guests feel the same way. We take pride in the food we serve, our saloon\party setup and the Texas hospitality we extend and want our sponsors to be able to do the same.

We had great success last year with the invitations being good for a specific night and no Sponsor or their guest had any problems when entering the saloon/party area. To make sure that we are never overcrowded, invitations to the TEXAS SOCIAL CLUBS private party will be good for Thursday night only, Friday night only and Saturday night only. This is the only way we know not to overcrowd our tent each night, so that both Sponsor's and their guests will not have to wait in a line to enter, like you will find with so many of the other BBQ Teams.

Remember, each SPONSOR Badge allows only (1) one person to enter Thursday , Friday & Saturday night while the regular invitation allows only (1) one person to enter either the Thursday, Friday or Saturday night as detailed on that invitation to the Texas Social Club's private party and Saloon area, which includes all drinks, live music and BBQ dinner.

All Sponsors and their guests must have either a badge or an invitation to be invited into the Texas Social Club's private party each night. There will be no exception to this rule. Each year we have several people show up wanting to get in but somehow, they left their invitations at home. We are sorry, but if you do not have an invitation or badge, you will not be admitted. All Sponsors are responsible for their guest's actions and should be sure that their guest's do not drink too much and then try to drive. We try our best to provide a safe and fun environment but we need everyone's help to do so. The Director's of the Texas Social Club, along with all Sponsors and their guest's, will not be held liable for the actions of any other Sponsor or that Sponsors guest's.

SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION

For the 2017 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo World Championship BBQ Cook-off, we are offering the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond Sponsorship packages:

The BRONZE SPONSORSHIP is $ 900.00 and gives you (2) two SPONSOR BADGES good for all three nights along with two (2) invitations for Thursday night only, two (2) invitations for Friday night only and two (2) invitations for Saturday night only.

The SILVER SPONSORSHIP is $ 1800.00 and gives you (4) four SPONSOR BADGES good for all three nights and four (4) invitations for Thursday night only, four (4) invitations for Friday night only and four (4) invitations for Saturday night only.

The GOLD SPONSORSHIP is $ 2500.00 and gives you (6) six SPONSOR BADGES good for all three nights and six (6) invitations for Thursday night only, six (6) invitations for Friday night only and six (6) invitations for Saturday night only.

The PLATINUM SPONSORSHIP is $ 5000.00 and gives you (10) ten SPONSOR BADGES good for all three nights and fourteen (14) invitations for Thursday night only, fourteen (14) invitations for Friday night only and fourteen (14) invitations for Saturday night only.

The DIAMOND SPONSORSHIP is $ 10,000.00 and gives you (10) ten SPONSOR BADGES good for all three nights and forty (40) invitations for Thursday night only, forty (40) invitations for Friday night only and forty (40) invitations for Saturday night only.

Only Platinum or Diamond Sponsors will be allowed to put up their company banner inside the Saloon\Party area with the banner not to be larger than 30" X 50".

There is also a mandatory $ 15.00 entrance fee into the main cook-off area, which is a charitable contribution to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo scholarship fund that everyone must pay at the entrance gate to enter. This is something we have no control over but the money does go to a good cause. Each Sponsor's invitations, sponsor badges, parking information and further instructions will be delivered by February 15, 2017. We are still limiting the number of Sponsors and all money must be in by January 15, 2017. Anyone who does not have their money in by this time will lose their Sponsorship with their slot becoming available to other new Sponsors. We sold out of Sponsorships last year and have a waiting list of new potential Sponsors wanting to join, so do not be late with your money.
